Numericable-SFR launches STB for Red plans

French operator Numericable-SFR has launched a new STB from Sagemcom for its Red fibre customers. The box offers access to the country's 25 HD DTT channels, Numericable catch-up TV, and a catalogue of 30,000 VoD titles. Customers can also add pay channels such as BeIN Sports, OCS and Canal Plus. The new box comes without a hard drive, allowing Numericable-SFR to avoid having to pay the country's private copy tax, but users can connect an external hard drive to record programmes and for timeshifting.
