Numericable-SFR unions call for government intervention

There has been a social cost to Numericable-SFR's cost-cutting strategy under Altice, according to CFE-CGC union representatives at Numericable-SFR and Orange France. In an open letter to three ministers, the union asks the government to intervene as soon as possible in a worsening social climate at Numericable-SFR, which they compare to the wave of staff suicides that occurred at Orange in 2009. They see the current situation at the operator as reminiscent of the social crisis at the former France Telecom, with an explosion in sick leave, low employee morale and an increased take-up of
