NXP takes new head of global operations from Marvell

NXP Semiconductors has appointed Andy Micallef its new executive VP for Global Operations, effective 17 May 17. Micallef will be responsible for executing NXP's end-to-end manufacturing, quality, and supply chain strategies. Joining from Marvell Semiconductor where he was the COO, he will succeeds David Reed, who has decided to retire from NXP. Micallef will report directly to NXP president and CEO Kurt Sievers.
