NXP to demo UWB m-payment service with NTT Docomo and Sony

NXP Semiconductors has announced that its Ultra-Wideband (UWB) service will be used for a live mobile payment demonstration by Japanese operator NTT Docomo and Sony Imaging Products and Solutions. According to NXP, the smart retail demonstration organized by NTT Docomo and Sony shows connectivity services using UWB technology and the possibility of its impact and benefit to FeliCa-based services which spans transportation, in-store payments, building access and more.
