O2 Germany to offer complete LTE broadband, phone packages
Telefonica O2 Germany's Head of Corporate and Legal Affairs, Markus Haas, has said that a launch of LTE mobile broadband services in June was "quite possible", teltarif.de reports. The company announced at a CeBIT press conference that its LTE network would officially launch commercial services on 01 July. The company plans to offer complete LTE packages offering LTE mobile internet access and voice services at home for customers.

Telefonica Germany sells cheap smartphones via O2 Outlet

Telefonica Germany has launched the O2 Outlet at www.o2.de/outlet where customers can purchase current smartphone models from surplus stocks and returned goods at heavily reduced prices. The iPhone will be one of the first models sold through O2 Outlet, with a number of models being offered for EUR 100 under the standard price. Smartphones from other makers will be added shortly. Customers can return any devices that do not live up to expectations to O2 within 14 days.

Telefonica Germany and Huawei have signed a deal for LTE infrastructure. Under the agreement, Telefonica will deploy LTE networks in several regions around Germany based on Huawei's SingelRan platform. Telefonica Germany launches business BlackBerry promotion

Telefonica Germany's O2 Business division has launched a promotion for new customers signing up for the 'O2 on with handset' (EUR 63.75 per month) or 'O2 on Upgrade with handset' (EUR 76.50) tariffs from 04 April to 30 June. They will get the BlackBerry option free during the first 24 months of the contract, saving them EUR 5 per month. O2 Germany has launched a new promotion for business travellers looking to use the internet overseas. Business customers signing up for the O2 on Business tariff from 15 March to 31 May with the 'Data Pack 15 MB World Zone 1-3' option, will get this data pack free for the first six months. This will give them 15 MB of overseas internet access a month without additional data or roaming costs. O2 Germany has launched a promotion offering a prepaid UMTS modem for EUR 14.99 instead of EUR 29.99 to customers ordering the device before 20 March. The prepaid O2 Surfstick includes five vouchers for a daily mobile internet flatrate, which usually cost EUR 3.50 apiece. After using the vouchers, customers can choose to continue using the daily flatrates or instead order the monthly flatrate offering 5 GB at HSPA speeds.
