O2 Spain temporarily suspends SIM activations

Thursday 12 July 2018 | 12:17 CET | News
Telefonica's new O2 brand in Spain has temporarily suspended the activation of new SIMs following customer complaints of delays and service cuts, reports El Confidencial. The company announced O2's first plans last month, targeting the country's low-cost segment with a simple mobile only and convergent (fibre plus mobile) offering presented ahead of the brand's official launch in September. However, O2 has now written to customers to say it's temporarily cancelling activations to resolve pending portability and SIM card delivery problems.
