O2 UK considers selling shares to customers

O2 UK is preparing to sell shares to millions of retail investors as part of a planned GBP 10 billion flotation. In an interview with the Sunday Telegraph, O2 UK CEO Mark Evans said there was the possibility of some sort of retail offer to sell shares to 'as many people as are interested'. He said that O2 had 25 million customers in the UK and could expect reasonable demand for its shares. The company is understood to be working with intermediary stock brokers on plans to sell shares to customers, rather than opening the float direct to everyone.
