O2 UK customers hit by service disruption

O2 UK's customers were hit by a widespread service interruption on 25 May, with some claiming online that they had lost service up to 5 hours, reports the Guardian. Business secretary Sajid Javid, tweeted "No signal O2. Please sort it out." Problems were reported in Birmingham, Bristol, Glasgow, Manchester and parts of Northern Ireland and London. O2 indicated that it was aware of some issues and isolated instances, and had suggested people turn their phones off and on again.
