O2 UK testing network-level ad blocking technology

O2 UK is in the 'well advanced' stages of examining ad blocking technology for its mobile customers. O2 executives told Business Insider that it is actively testing technology to block mobile ads at a network level. It is also considering allowing customers access to ad blocking apps, and is working with advertisers to improve mobile ad standards.
