Obermann candidate to become Lufthansa CEO - report

Rene Obermann, the former Deutsche Telekom CEO now at Dutch cable operator Ziggo, may be a candidate for CEO of German airline Lufthansa, Handelsblatt reports. The paper's sources said Lufthansa is interested in Obermann, who will likely become free by next year after Ziggo agreed a takeover by Liberty Global. Obermann started as CEO at Ziggo at the start of this year, but has already said he will not stay with the company if the Liberty Global takeover is completed.
