OBS, Plastic Omnium offer M2M platform for waste collection

Orange Business Services and waste management group Plastic Omnium Environment will offer local authorities an M2M-based solution in France to optimise waste collection and adhere to incentivised pricing, partly based on the quantity of waste generated by end users. The M2M, telemetry and data processing system provides local authorities with information on vehicle movements, end-user services, volumes of collections and other parameters to analyse and increase efficiency. Each vehicle is equipped with a communicating device with Sim card that transmits data to secure servers. A
