Ofcom consults on new rules for automatic compensation

UK regulator Ofcom has published a consultation on proposals for new rules on automatic compensation for communications providers. Following the Strategic Review of Digital Communications, Ofcom identified automatic compensation as one of the actions it would take to improve the quality of communications services. The aim of these new rules would be to protect consumers from the negative impacts of service quality problems and to incentivise providers to deliver to higher standards.
