Ofcom faces major breach of TV company data

UK regulator Ofcom is dealing with a mass data breach TV company information, reports The Guardian. The breach came after a former Ofcom employee offered a host of potentially sensitive data on TV companies to his new employer, a major broadcaster. Ofcom has written to dozens of TV companies with UK broadcast licences to inform them about the data breach. In a statement, the regulator said that it became aware of an incident involving the misuse of third party data by a former employee on 26 February.
