Ofcom will not conduct formal competition assessment of UKTV break-up

UK regulator Ofcom has decided not to launch a formal competition assessment of the UKTV deal between the BBC Studios and Discovery. Ofcom is confident that existing trading and separation regulation will sufficiently safeguard against any potential risks to competition.
