
Oi chairman to take over as CEO

The board of Brazil's Telemar Participacoes, the holding company of operator Oi, named Jose Mauro Mettrau Carneiro da Cunha the new CEO of Oi and its controlled companies, replacing Francisco Tosta Valim Filho. Carneiro da Cunha resigned from the role of chairman of Oi, and Jose Augusto da Gama Figueira was appointed to take over. The move follows press reports that the relationship between shareholders of Oi and Valim had become "unsustainable."
