Oi confident of approval of sale of mobile network to competitors

Friday 15 January 2021 | 17:02 CET | News
Oi's financial diretor, Camille Faria, is confident that Brazil's Administrative Council for Economic Defence (Cade) will approve the sale of Oi's mobile network to competitors Claro, Tim and Vivo by the end of the year, reports Correio Braziliense. She explained that the three competitors prepared "a segregation plan to respect regulatory rules and division of customers in order to avoid concentration". However, she did not rule out the possibility that Cade might ask for some sort of adjustment, but said it is unlikely it will refuse the deal.
