Oi confirms debt renegotiation

Brazilian operator Oi has announced that it has been involved in negotiations with members of an ad hoc group made up of holders of, or managers of, entities holding beneficial interests in notes issued by Oi. The operator executed a confidentiality agreement with certain ad hoc group members known as the steering committee, to facilitate discussions concerning Oi's capital structure and potential alternatives for a proposed restructuring.
