Oi could acquire over 40% of TIM customers - report

Brazilian operator Oi should get the largest share of TIM Brasil in a possible joint bid with Telefonica Vivo and America Movil (Claro), reports Valor Economico. The purchase will be organized by BTG Pactual and Oi's investment may reach BRL 10 billion. Oi is a candidate to take TIM's operations in the state of Sao Paulo and the South. It has the potential to consolidate more than ten states in total, where it has the lowest market share, and acquire more than 40 percent of TIM customers, which has a total 74.4 million users.
