Oi has upgraded the telecommunications system at Brazil's Antarctic base. The expansion and modernization work was made possible thanks to work by the Ministry of Science, Technology, Innovation and Communications through Anatel, for the renewal of the agreement between the Brazilian Navy and Oi, first signed in 2006 and extended in 2018 for five more years.
