On-demand to take 25% of all TV viewing time by 2025

Delayed or on-demand viewing will grow to a quarter of all TV viewing by 2025 from 7 percent last year, according to a report from ABN Amro on Dutch viewing behaviour. The increase is driven by the growing number of VoD services and increasing popularity of streaming video, on social media as well as live linear channels online. Citing research from GroupM, the bank said there was a clear difference across age groups in how they are consuming video. Among 13-19 year-olds, the amount of time watching linear TV fell 15.3 percent in the first half of 2016, and 20-34 year-olds watched 8.5 percent
