Onatel launches LTE commercial offers in Burkina Faso

Monday 1 April 2019 | 10:54 CET | News
Maroc Telecom's subsidiary Onatel has started offering LTE services in Burkina Faso after acquiring a new licence at the end of March. The operator follows in the footsteps of rival Orange, which was the first in the country to start rolling out LTE in January. Both companies have each agreed to pay XOF 80 billion for a technology-neutral licence, allowing them to use their spectrum resources for LTE, as well as 2G/3G networks.
