One in ten Dutch consumers sees no need for mobile data plan

Tuesday 28 May 2019 | 08:58 CET | News

Must I be eccentric! Dutch, four "unlimited" mobile subscriptions (of which two data-only), and no wired subscription (no television subscription either) for nearly two years now. The difference may reside in that I'm a tablet guy, doing most things ("tasks"?) on a tablet that others would do on a desktop computer (connected by wire) or on a smartphone. Or rather: I'm /not/ into social media. To both providers and consumers I'd like to say: don't underestimate the data used, like hundreds of MB for even updating off-line maps or 1 GB for roughly every ten minutes of 4K video.
