OnePlus 6T to launch exclusively with T-Mobile in US - report

OnePlus's next flagship phone will launch exclusively with T-Mobile in the US, several people familiar with the matter told Cnet. That will be a first for OnePlus to choose an exclusive carrier. 

A specific version of the OnePlus 6T will be optimized for T-Mobile's network, including support for the 600 MHz band, the report said. The company will still sell its standard global version that's unlocked for other networks, for an expected price of around USD 550. The new device is expected to launch in October.

Sprint to launch 5G smartphone from OnePlus

Sprint announced its fourth 5G device and first smartphone with OnePlus. Sprint 5G is currently available in areas of Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston and Kansas City, and the company expects to launch service in areas of Los Angeles, New York, Phoenix and Washington, D.C., in the coming weeks. Sprint's True Mobile 5G network will cover approximately 2,100 square miles and 11 million people total across all nine market launch areas.

OnePlus to launch new 6T smartphone 30 October

OnePlus announced that it will launch its 6T smartphone on 30 October in New York and sales will start a week later on 06 November. The successor to the OnePlus 6 released in May is expected to be similar to sister company Oppo's R17 smartphone and include an in-display fingerprint scanner.

Smartphone maker OnePlus has unveiled an updated USB-C version of its Bullets V2 earphones, dubbed the Type-C Bullets. The new earbuds come with a built-in Cirrus Logic DAC, ensuring compatibility with most USB-C devices, as well as a built-in microphone and remote control. OnePlus said Type-C earbuds have a higher dynamic range, higher signal-to-noise ratio and lower noise floor than headphones using a 3.5 mm analogue jack.

OnePlus confirms 17 Oct launch of 6T, with in-display fingerprint reader

OnePlus has released a marketing image with the date 17 October, suggesting it will announce the new OnePlus 6T smartphone that day. The image points to some of the expected features of the new phone, such as a size similar to a 19:9 screen aspect and what looks like a fingerprint scanner in the screen. The new phone will be the successor to the OnePlus 6 released in May and is expected to carry a similar price tag.

OnePlus opens Italy office, aims to triple sales this year

Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus has opened its new Italian HQ in the city of Milan as part of a strategy to significantly increase unit sales this year, reports La Stampa, citing the company's co-founder Carl Pei. "According to our forecasts, we are on course to triple our 2017 sales volume this year," said Pei, adding that Italian OnePlus owners are the fourth most active group on the company's global forums, with 100,000 active users a month.

OnePlus to launch red version of OnePlus 6

OnePlus will launch a Red version of its OnePlus 6 smartphone on 10 July. The device will cost USD 579, EUR 569 or INR 39,999 and include 8 GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage. The company said it sold 1 million units of its two initial black variants of the OnePlus 6 in 22 days. A white model was released in June.
