OneWeb applies to FCC for bigger fleet authorisation

OneWeb has applied to the US Federal Communications Commission to increase the number of satellites in its constellation up to 48,000 satellites. This larger OneWeb constellation will allow for greater flexibility to meet the increase in global connectivity demand which has been underlined by the coronavirus pandemic, the company said.
