ONF expands open-source software development

The Open Networking Forum (ONF), a non-profit organisation dedicated to accelerating the adoption of open Software-Defined Networking (SDN), has announced the appointment of Saurav Das as principal system architect, and the establishment of a new project to build upon the OpenFlow Configuration and Management Protocol (OF-CONFIG) to support Open vSwitch (OVS). Saurav's contributions to ONF and the announcement of this project build on the organisation's open-source software efforts that began with the OpenFlow Driver competition, followed by ONF SampleTap and the Segment Routing project
