Online storage getting more popular with Germans - survey

German consumers are preferring to use online storage services instead of hard drives with more than 1 in 4 (27%) internet users storing data on services such as Dropbox, Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive, according to Bitkom research. This equates to 15 million Germans. Online storage services are especially popular with younger Germans, with 34 percent of 14-29 year old internet users using them, compared to 28 percent of 30-49 and 26 percent of 50-64 year olds.
