Ono takeover could put pressure on Telefonica - Fitch

The possible takeover of Spanish cable operator Ono by either Vodafone or Liberty Global could lead to even greater competition in the Spanish telecoms market, according to a report by ratings agency Fitch. The operation that would have the potential to most affect the current status quo in the sector would be an acquisition of Ono by Vodafone, which would put greatest pressure on the dominant operator Telefonica.
