ONOS releases new SDN system, CORD use cases

The ONOS community announced the availability of its latest software release, Falcon. An open source SDN network operating system for service providers, the new release features additional support for Central Office Re-Architected as a Data Center (CORD), many new applications and more support for southbound protocols, ONOS said in a statement. This is the sixth release since the ONOS project became public in December 2014. ONOS also announced that it continues to expand and has passed 50 members in total. he key area for new collaborators has been helping with the broadening role of Central
