Ooredoo Myanmar customer base contracts in Q2

Wednesday 29 July 2020 | 10:45 CET | News
Ooredoo Myanmar's customer base increased 34 percent year-on-year to 14.8 million at the end of June, but was down from 15.6 million reported in Q1. Revenues for the first six months of 2020 increased by 8 percent to QAR 580 million, supported by currency appreciation and a healthy growth in data consumption, which offset declines in voice revenue. EBITDA was QAR 124 million, down 7 percent compared to the same period in the previous year due to increased customer acquisition costs, its parent company reported.
