Ooredoo Oman ties up with National Electricity Centre to build IoT network

Ooredoo Oman has signed an agreement with the National Electricity Centre (NEC) to build an Internet of Things (IoT) network system to facilitate of wireless technologies, micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS), micro-services and the internet. It is due for completion in the first quarter of 2018 and the network will be powered by equipment from Sagemcom, with he use of local expertise brought in by NEC.
