Open Network Automation Platform releases first code

The Open Network Automation Platform (ONAP) Project announced that its code and documentation are now open to the community for increased collaboration. The platform was formed earlier this year from the merger of the AT&T-backed open-source project ECOMP and the Open Orchestrator Project (OPEN-O) to help develop a framework for automating virtual network functions. In addition to its first release, ONAP announced the newly elected officers of the project and welcomed additional members. The ONAP code base is production-ready and in use.
