OpenID members finalise OpenID Connect standard

The OpenID Foundation has ratified the OpenID Connect standard, a new way for service providers to manage digital identification for end-user access. OpenID Connect allows service providers to outsource the identification of users to specialist identity service operators, such as Google or Microsoft.
