Operators can bypass ATI for international internet traffic

Tunisia's ICT ministry has amended some terms of the fixed and 3G mobile licence awarded to Tunisiana and Orange Tunisia to increase competition in the market, reports webmanagercenter.com. The new language was agreed by ICT minister Mongi Marzoug and the general managers of the two operators, Kenneth Campbell and Didier Charvet. The operators are no longer required to go through Tunisian internet agency ATI for incoming and outgoing international internet traffic. Furthermore, all references to Orascom Telecom Tunisia have been replaced with Tunisiana, and to Divona Telecom with Orange
