Oppo, Huawei, Vivo lead China smartphone market in 2016

China's smartphone market saw a growth of 19 percent year-on-year and 17 percent quarter-on-quarter in the fourth quarter of 2016. For the full year 2016, the market grew by 9 percent with top Chinese smartphone vendors taking up a larger share of the market, according to a report from IDC. The report also shows that 4 Chinese vendors (Oppo, Huawei, Vivo and Xiaomi) in the top five were the same in 2015, and their share grew from 46 percent in 2015 to 57 percent in 2016.
