Opta leaves cable market alone, keeps open access in FTTH

Thursday 23 June 2011 | 08:54 CET | News
The Dutch cable sector does not need more regulating at the moment, regulator Opta concluded in its draft opinion on the television market. The regulator looked to see if the television market, where UPC and Ziggo are active, needs more regulation. Opta expects growth in innovation and competition in the television market to keep growing in the coming years. The continuing digitization is increasingly exposing the electronic communications markets to market forces.
