Optus to relocate 2100MHz spectrum for 4G, 5G services from April 2022

Australian operator Optus has announced plans to launch a network technology refresh from late April 2022, reallocating its 2100MHz spectrum assets as consumers and enterprise continue to adopt 4G and 5G services. Some of Optus' 2100MHz spectrum assets that are currently used to support 3G technology, will be reallocated to provide an upgraded 4G service as well as support the expansion of 5G, Optus also said.
