Optus turns on TD-LTE network in Canberra

Australian telecommunications provider Optus has launched its TD-LTE network in Canberra. Optus has activated thirteen sites with TD-LTE technology, with a plan to progressively expand to more than fifty sites in Canberra over the second half of this year. The company has also released new prepaid and postpaid dual-band 4G offers. Postpaid subscriptions start at AUD 45 per month for 7 GB followed by AUD 60 per month for 10 GB with a E5776 Wi-Fi modem or E3276 v2 premium USB modem. Prepaid customers can buy the Wi-Fi modem for AUD 169 with 5 GB of data and the USB modem is priced at AUD 129
