Oracle, Intel demo carrier NFV network performance

Oracle Communications has announced what it claims is the first successful demonstration of "carrier-grade" end-to-end service and network performance in a virtualised, software-based environment. The company said it had partnered with Intel on the project aimed at realising the promise of network function virtualization (NFV). For the initiative Oracle optimised part of its orchestration framework, including the Oracle Communications Network Service Orchestration Solution, for Intel's Open Network Platform (ONP) using OpenStack open source infrastructure management software and its Enhanced
