Orange and Dell join forces to test 5G and edge computing use cases

Dell and Orange have agreed to work together in a number of areas to develop new use cases for edge computing, enabled by the arrival of 5G networks. Both partners recognise the importance of new distributed architectures for 5G in the transformation brought about by multi-access edge computing. Combining their respective expertise, they will collaborate to develop business models and proof of concepts for the edge ecosystem, working on the definition and validation of components such as GPUs and SmartNICs.
