Orange has signed a partnership agreement with device maker Oppo, initially covering the operator's European footprint. The collaboration will deliver new capabilities on both Oppo's smartphones and connected wearables. One of the main objectives of the partnership is to enable the operator to load applications such as My Orange and Orange TV on Oppo's unlocked "open market" smartphones, once an Orange SIM card is detected on the handset. This will allow Orange to extend personalisation to mobile subscribers who have not acquired Oppo's devices through its sales channels.
