Orange announces release of OCast as open source video software

Orange announced the open source release of OCast, a multi-screen video software that enables smartphone and tablet users to play content on the TV. Orange Labs Services has been working with content management specialist Viaccess-Orca, an Orange subsidiary, to integrate OCast in Viaccess-Orca's portfolio of products for TV operators, and has also collaborated with Deutsche Telekom Innovation Laboratories, which has tested the software in the early stages.
