Orange Bank launch in France faces delay – report

The launch of Orange Bank in France is not expected before April, compared with the original plan which scheduled it for February, reports BFM Business quoting unnamed sources. The reason for the delay is reportedly the need to respect all the necessary measures of the highly regulated banking sector.

Orange’s new banking offer received the regulatory green light in October 2016, when the company was granted formal approval by banking regulators for its acquisition of 65 percent of the capital of Groupama Banque.
