Orange Belgium reports slower Q1, as customer additions affected by shop closures

Thursday 23 April 2020 | 11:27 CET | News
Orange Belgium reported a slower first quarter, with customer acquisition impacted by the coronavirus and accompanying shop closures, and financials hit by less roaming and SMS usage. EBITDAaL managed to rise strongly, helped by cost controls. Orange Belgium expects covid-19 measures to have a "moderate" negative impact on full-year revenues, and a more limited impact on EBITDAaL due to cost efficiencies. The company said it will consider an update to its guidance after the second quarter, with more visibility into the pandemic impact.
