Orange Cameroon network hit by technical fault - report

Friday 8 August 2014 | 12:01 CET | News
Orange Cameroon customers have experienced a steep degradation in their service quality over several days in Yaounde and other other cities, Agence Ecofin reports. Calls are not getting through, SMS cannot be sent or appear as 'failed'. If the customer tries to send repeatedly, he later finds out that the message arrived later, several times over, with payment taken for each. Customers have not been able to add credit over the internet service. Instead, a message informs them that the network is overloaded and to try later. The dongle connects to the internet but users cannot access the web.
