Orange completes sale of EE stake to BT

Orange announced that it completed the sale of its 50 percent stake in UK mobile operator EE to BT on 29 January. Following the distribution by EE of a GBP 60.5 million interim dividend in the third quarter of 2015 and a GBP 131.5 million final dividend on 25 January, Orange has received GBP 3.438 billion in cash and a 4 percent stake in the enlarged BT group. Deutsche Telekom and Orange reached an agreement in February 2015 to sell their joint venture EE to BT for GBP 12.5 billion.
