Orange Cote d'Ivoire files complaint with prosecutor over fire at facility

Wednesday 16 May 2018 | 11:29 CET | News
Orange Cote d'Ivoire says a fire and other damage in April at its facility appears to have been an act of professional "sabotage", Reuters reported. The fire broke out early on 30 April at a technical centre in the commercial capital Abidjan's central Plateau district, disrupting service for weeks at the site of a submarine network cable that connects the country with the rest of the world. Initial findings suggest that the incident was a targeted assault, said Mamadou Bamba, general director of Orange Cote d'Ivoire.
