Orange could make acquisition move for Telenet - report

Orange's stated aim of making acquisitions in Belgium and Romania could see a merger between its Belgian subsidiary, Mobistar, and cable operator Telenet, writes Les Echos in an article about the trend of telecom consolidation in Europe. Mobistar has announced plans to offer fixed line services over the Telenet cable network, a move which may be delayed by a regulatory analysis until after the summer, according to a recent report in De Tijd newspaper.
