So far in Egypt, the four telecommunications companies have all filed a formal request for new frequencies to cover the expected growth of mobile users on 4G services. Each operator is offered 10 MHz, with the exception of Vodafone who signed up for 5 MHz, and Telecom Egypt at 15 MHz. According to the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (NTRA), the number of users of the 4G services launched in Egypt two months ago has already reached 10 million users. Vodafone Egypt has the highest number of clients on 4G services, driven by a 42 million user client base.
