Orange first to launch nationwide LTE-M network in Spain

Orange Spain has activated its LTE-M network nearly two years after conducting its initial trials, becoming the first operator to launch the dedicated Internet of Things (IoT) technology throughout the country. In a statement, Orange said it has spent the past two years testing the network with clients and partners in different areas of activity, including asset traceability, energy metering, smart city services and advanced remote control of machines.
