Orange leads rivals with 435 French LTE site activations in October

The number of LTE cell sites in operation across mainland France reached 46,317 as of 01 November, up by 436 during October (+465 in September). According to spectrum agency ANFR, the overall number of sites authorised but not yet in service stood at 51,538, rising to 54,333 when including 2,795 sites in the French overseas territories. Orange regained the lead in LTE site activations by adding 435 active sites (+369 in September). As a result, its footprint expanded to 24,027 sites in service.
